Information about the Club
Xmas in July 2005
All the blokes with Santa at the Xmas in July Dinner, 2005
The St George Scuba Club Incorporated is an independent dive club based in the southern half of Sydney, New South Wales. Our club is a non-profit organisation and, consequently, we believe that the cost of our diving activities to members and our guests is excellent.

We believe that St George Scuba Club is Sydney's friendliest and most active independent dive club, run by and for its members. Everyone is welcome, from the very experienced to the novice diver. As we have some of Australia's most experienced divers, there is no better way for you to improve your skills than diving with us. Our members dive every weekend of the year and the Club organises many weekends away We also organise shark dives, wreck dives, seal dives and night dives in Sydney.

Its members elect annually a committee that guide the Club's activities. The Club has just over 150 members.

The members of the Club run the Club. All members are expected to help out, whether it planning and running a dive or dive trip or just assisting the boat owners in launching and operating their boats. The Club is only as strong as the members who are prepared to assist. Remember, this Club has no paid employees, everyone is the same as each other, a member. Once you join the Club, a set of guidelines for diving, dive trips etc is available on this web site for reading.

For 2019 the following is just a sample of what we have planned:

  • Overseas trips to Cocos Keeling Islands
  • Weekends to Ulladulla, Nelson Bay, South West Rocks, Jervis Bay and more.
  • Boat Dives most Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Night Shore Dives every Thursday
  • Regular Deep Wreck Dives
  • Regular Boat Dives out of Botany Bay and Port Hacking
  • Regular weekend Shore Dives at various locations
  • Day trips to Shellharbour
  • Numerous weekday shore dives
  • Some social events like Xmas Party, Xmas in July and Anniversary Dinner
  • Shore dives most days of the week
  • Have a browse through this web site to learn more about the Club and its activities. Then, if you think that you would like to join, check out the meetings page or download a membership form and join the Club. You can also contact the Club to ask more questions by using the Contacts link at left.

You can be certain that you are joining the friendliest and most active independent dive Club in Sydney.
