SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Dive Options

St George SCUBA Club conducts many dives throughout the year. Always weather dependent and safety conscious.

Boat Dives

Boat dives are an important part of club activities. A number of members have boats that are provided for our use.

Deep Diving

We have a keen community of deep divers. If you enjoy hanging on the deco line for hour after hour then here is your chance.

Night Diving

Diving at night is a unique experience so we run a number of these dives each year.

Dive Calendar

Upcoming Dives

Each November we set the schedule for upcoming dives for the following year.

The calendar will include all planned dive trips, both locally and overseas. Sydney diving will be shore dives or boat dives, some of these will be deeper dives for the more experienced. All local dives are free of charge, but the boat skippers will appreciate a donation to go towards fuel costs.

Away trips involve a cost for accommodation and boat hire and have limited spots available. Bookings will be available using the calendar.

Our Values

Experience, Safety and Friendship

01

Safety

Foremost in the minds of our divers is safety. Incidents do happen, but risks are assessed and mitigated to ensure we all dive safely.

02

Community

We work closely with NSW Marine groups and education providers to promote SCUBA diving and work together for our underwater environment.

03

Colleagues

Making friends and hanging out with like minded people are central to our club. It’s a great bunch of people.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked
Questions

When are your meetings?

They are normally held on the third Tuesday of the month starting at 8:00pm at the Ramsgate RSL Club.

What shop is your Club associated with?

None, it is an independent Club.

Do you teach SCUBA diving?

No.

Do you hire gear?

No, but we can sometimes loan things like tanks and weights to members.

I am visiting Sydney, can I dive with you?

We will always try to help out visiting divers, especially those who are members of other independent dive Clubs. If you are staying for an extended period we would expect you to join the Club.

What do I get for my membership fee?

You contribute towards the general running of the Club (insurance and incorporation fees). In addition, you get a beer cooler when you attend a dive or meeting. We also provide food for the Christmas Party as well as a BBQ subsidy for dive weekends. Lastly, we occasionally provide free boat dives for combined BBQ/picnic dive days.
